No one said anything about downshifting without a clutch. Do this and you deserve what you get.

12K service cost me $959! 9 hours labor + parts. I have not seen such a high figure on the post.

80000Km service

* the usual changes oil/plugs/filters and checks
+
* adjusted 7 valves
* new foot-rest rubbers (I was standing on the screws and too lazy to unscrew rescrew myself )
* fixed gasoline leak (after the recall!), one of the rubber seals on the male part of the fitting was not good anymore
* ripped the right rear side fairing (opened the side too far without unscrewing the rear grab bar), replaced it with a new one without any discussion

Dropped the bike off in the morning, got a loaner (for free!), picked it up in the evening. Payed 640€ and done!

That depends on what is actually done, as well as shop labor rate.

By the book, my '02 Sprint is supposed to get all the following @12k or two years:

oil and filter
air filter
fuel filter
change fork oil (requiring removal of fork tubes)
lubricate steering head bearings (requiring further disassembly of triple tree)
brake fluid change
valve adjustment if necessary (requiring removal of camshafts)
change coolant
balance throttle bodies
rebuild both master cylinders with new seals
rebuild all three calipers with new seals
adjust chain
check for codes
check brake pads and brake light operation
check / adj clutch cable
reset adaptive stepper
adj tire pressure

@ 3 years, add:
lubricate rear suspension (requires disassembly IIRC)

@ 4 years, add:
replace all brake lines, fuel lines and evap emission hoses

--------------

Thus your price may vary, eh?

so far

clutch cover gasket - $17
front tire - $130

will need to get the 12k soon, im scared to find out the price. i might just do most of the work myself, like fluid changes and leave the valves for them.
