i am thinking that i want to put window tint on the windshield of my st. just a cosmetic thing - i think it would look good.

has anyone tried this? i am not sure of how well the tint will stick to the plastic windscreen.

any thoughts appreciated,

rash

Hi Rash,
I've not heard about anybody trying this. I would recommend you use caution though. The plastics in the wind screen are no where near as tolerant of chemicls as glass is. I suppose as long as the tinting adhesive was safe for it, it would be ok though. You can buy a screen tinted for about $70. So it just is a matter of how much hassle you will have verses the cost of a new tinted screen.

Hope this helps

I agree with preachp, I'd bite the bullet and get a new screen. You can get zero grav screens for a reasonable price in a multitude of colors. Also, you ever try tinting on a curved surface? If its the stuff that's a sheet that you squeege onto something, you might find it difficult to apply.

FWIW

The Zero Gravity Outlet has some Sprint screens for Sprints on ebay. Most I have seen there are selling in the $55.00 range.

I have the dark smoke MRA racing and it looks pretty great.
