A few weeks ago I filled my front brake master cylinder reservoir and carefully (I thought) cleaned up a little drip. When I finished the ride that day I noticed these white spots on the black trim on the right side of the windshield caused by the brake fluid. Looked like crap for three weeks

. While working on the bike last week I decided to try to somehow fix that or get a new trim piece. I used acetone and a clean rag to wipe down the trim piece and WOW it looked better than the left side, no more white spots and it is shinny. Moral of the story is, one MAY be able to remove brake fluid spots on black plastic with acetone! Of course try this at your own risk. It worked for me. Also do not use acetone on clear plastic.
