I checked my suspension last night and found the front was set at 8 mm and the rear was set to the soft side for a solo rider.
Matched the rear up to the front and had a much better feeling bike this morning.
With all due respect, you obviously post more than you read. This subject has been covered many times in previous threads. If it is a PIA to read all of the previous posts, just peruse the titles. Do a few pages each time you log in, and you will see there is a wealth of knowlege and experience here.
Obviously I do.
I was merely making a statement that I had to look around for it, sorry that I posted something that was posted before. In fact I'll edit my post so the offending line is removed.
My sincerest apologies, really, it won't happen again.
The next time I am looking at my manual and something isn't located where it should be then by all means I'll immediately stop what I am doing, wipe the grease off my hands and fire up my computer so I can spend the next couple of hours trying to find the exact post that describes what I am after instead of looking on the bike and locating it in five minutes.

Again, just take a little time each time you log on and read some earlier threads. You will learn a lot and that way you won't be surprised when something like this happens.
Don't be so touchy.......the thickness of your skin needs to be proportional to your posts.
4N099, OND gets grouchy sometimes but he is a wealth of information and great to have around. I don't think he means to be offensive but sometimes he just can't help it. Heck I don't know maybe he does mean to be offensive. I'm sure he will drop by later and tell us.

Lets have a group hug or sing "goomgyah" or something.
Suspenders and their setup is one of the most misunderstood things around. Along with oil, tightening chains, lowering bikes, what does that pluggy thing on the left side do?
It is best to have a plan and a starting point taking notes as you go along. As I said before look at the link I posted before and pay particular attention to the article in there about setting sag. This is the first step in getting you suspension working right. Hacking at it you will never know where you are at nor how to get where you want to go. What you have done may feel better but I guarantee get the sag set properly first it will feel one bunch better because it will be better balanced.
There is a lot of misinformation floating around, a lot of it here. Some know there stuff and most don't.
I'm not advocating RaceTech and have had nothing of theirs on a bike. Not saying they are good or bad, just the explanations are well written and very accurate. With the help of a couple of friends I was able to set mine up in a way that suits me without having to spend hardly any money at all. A few ounces of fork oil was all I have in it. It's set not too firm, not too soft and the weight X-fer fore and aft is about right for braking and exiting most corners.
Don thanks for the post and the link, the changes I made seem to work fairly well for my weight, they had the front set firm and the back soft on the bike.
No hard feelings towards OnD, I am 49, my mom is still alive, I don't need another one.
