This I do know........

I'm really glad I decided to go ahead and purchase an '07 model instead of waiting to see what changes were made for '08. I DO think they will have a 1099cc engine for '09 though.

I have read in a few different places where Triumph was trying to get into the Super Bike class soon. At least that is what I recall. There are others here that have discussed this as well.

Mine is an '02 model, but I was just wondering if they have fixed the "soft" brake issue in the 2008 model that many of you have complained about? Also good to hear they're trying to address the headlight issue!

TatooedRedHead: I felt the same when they dropped Sapphire Blue from their line!

Mailshot received today from my local dealer:

Quote:
Sprint ST

The Sprint ST receives the same headlight performance improvement as the Daytona 675 while the footrests have been modified and now employ a more durable rubber for prolonged wear. For 2008 the ST will also feature a steel fuel tank.
End quote

Now - has anyone here worn out their footrest rubbers? Not something that I would have thought was an issue, but then I have only had mine for 4 months.

I did, my right one was worn out 2 twice in 8 months, after which I replaced them with the footrests from the 675 (required a slight modification). And now they do not wear out:-)

I've also worn out my footrests. Only on my bike the left is much more worn. Casper: You say you used 675 footrests, any chance the whole assembly (or a set of rearsets) from a 675 would install with some work?

+1 on the footrest rubber for me. I thought it was just because of my size 13 'canoes'!
