Question Fuel line quick release conversion to 07SST

Ok....this is something I've done to the last couple of bikes owned. Although I haven't had the gas tank off yet....I expect it won't be much longer before I have to just look under there if for no other reason then I want to. Because I haven't looked under there yet, I'm not familiar with anything yet....and I'm thinking that I'll want to put in a set of quick release connectors on the retun and feed fuel lines the first time I pull the tank. I've done a search but haven't found anything regarding the latest generation ST's. Has anyone done this yet or is everyone getting used to skinned knuckles and scraped skin? I'm hoping someone's already done the research and found a source for them.....any responses out there?

The fitting Triumph uses on the >05 Sprint disconnects with a careful squeeze on the sides of the fitting. Some fuel will drain from the fitting, but it will seal off. Be careful, there have been reports of tank elbows being damaged during maintenance.

If you must put a higher tech fitting on it, Jiffy-Tite is the preferred replacement. Someone may be able to provide the part numbers you will need, otherwise this is a link to their site.

Yes, and damaging the nylon elbow was my main concern when I squeezed the sides of the fitting. If they were side by side, it would be easy, but the buttons were top-bottom and I couldn't get a grab on it with my feeble fingers.
So I fabricated a custom c-clamp to do the dirty work. Clip it on and easily pull off the fitting:

No return line, just the one fuel line, and it's a quick release. The fuel outlet is a plastic unit, so you must be gentle when pinching and pulling.

Thanks for the response...........

I wasn't aware there was a quick release in use....but only one? Isn't there a line for fuel going to the system and a return line for fuel unused?

I know I'll want to replace it sometime in the future for metal connectors.

The red cross indicates that you are being tracked by the Mother Ship.
"Minitwins" is your identifier, and you are not supposed to divulge it. Your screen is the only one that displays it.

One fuel supply line coming from a pump with an internal filter and regulator, going to the fuel rail.
