Rims for my 06 sprint st

I'm in the middle of buying an 07 sprint st, i'm very excited i've wanted this bike since the new design came out in 05. Anyway, I'm looking at wheels for it as well and my question has do with it. I don't know much about this single sided setup. Can i buy any type of wheel? If anyone has any type of input or even idea about what to do i would greatly appreciate it. Here is the rim I'm interested in..... Buying a black sprint st with this black wheel combo... Tell me what you guys think, and its ok to be brutally honest I don't mind, the more input the better.. Thanks guy!!

don't think anyone makes aftermarket wheels for the
new 1050 ST yet.

the site you list is an ad for performance machine wheels,
these are for Harley, Metric Cruisers, and some popular sport bikes.

the sprint wheels are almost black stock, but you can
powder coat them any color you want.

i think the wheel itself can be stripped and polished, or even chromed.

black bikes with all polished wheels are great looking.

I would contact BST to see if they have any plans of doing a wheel for the bike....carbon fiber wheels would be the setup as it reduces unspung weight and it will increase your handling and acceleration. Thats my 2 cents.

You will have a hard time finding aftermarket rims for the Sprint.

You could take your rims to a professional detailing shop and they can polish them and coordinate any powder coat design of your choice. It would probably not cost half as much as those designer rims you are wanting.

Hi sprintwannabe6,

have a pair of Dymag wheels (carbon rims, magnesium centers) on another bike, look fantastic and incredibly flickable, at over 3500 AUD they'd want too.
Take a look at oldndumb's polished rims, look pretty slick on his Sprint and even if you're not capable would'nt cost a mint to have done.

Regards, Lambo

Talking Rim job...

I've been looking for a second set of rims for a couple of months now. I may just break down and buy another new set. I'm thinking about an anodized red color for track rims. Or doing like OnD did with stripping the rim but leaving the spokes black which looks really sharp, especially with his silver color.

p.s. OnD, have you checked your pms? I sent you one a while ago.

I've seen aftermarket rims for s3 with a SSSA...don't know how much different the S3 set up is than the sprint. I would also like to pick up a second set. One for Sport rubber one for sport touring rubber. That way I could do both types of riding without the darned flat spot I get on my current tires from long riding that makes it a pain in the *** when I go to hit some corners.

The S3 and Sprint 05+ take the same wheels. Check Bike Bandit or your dealer parts counter.

The S3 carbons from Dymag and BST should fit. I'll test fit if you guys take up a collection

carrozzeria rims

These look pretty cool, though I've heard the mismatched 'spoke' count between front and rear puts some people off. Supposed to be quite light and obviously forged is stronger. Should make a heck of a difference in acceleration.
