My wife and I rode some Hwy 1 twisties this weekend. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be for a holiday. These pics were taken north of Bodega Bay up to Salt Point. We stayed overnight at the Timber Cove Inn, a fantastic rustic hotel with an unbelievable view and great food. I saw hundreds of bikes this weekend but no other Sprints, unless of course there was another red one which I might have missed when I blinked.

Well, I rode hw 1 today. But in other direction: down to Big Sur and back.

I was just up there this afternoon also. Rode from Bodega Bay up to Stewarts Point / Skaggs road. I was in the company of a grey 675, black Aprilla, my yellow RS, a V Strom and blue Kawi ZX7. We hit some traffic on 1, untilafter the construction, then it opened up. Skaggs was empty. Nice pics. Maybe I'll see ya on Denman13's next Alice's run

Glad to hear that you guys were up there enjoying the great weather as well. The construction traffic was the only bad section but after that it was smooth. I haven't tried Skaggs with a pillion before. That is a road that is too tempting to go fast. I ended up coming home 116 to river rd. Big Sur must have been nice!

By the way, is there some sort of ride report forum where threads like this go? I personally like seeing pics from different people and places around the world. Not many moto forums are as international as this one which is what makes it cool.

We just went camping up at Trinity Lake near Mt. Shasta. There's this one stretch of Hwy 299 west up to 3 through Whiskey Town that is also full of nice twisties. We were in the SUV this weekend so we just commented back and forth about how we missed having the bikes up there. So we might have to do that one too when we hit the 36 from Red Bluff to Eureka run.

Glad you were able to avoid a lot of traffic. I was surprised at how quickly we got home last night. Not bad for a huge holiday with near perfect weather.

Denman I have driven that road going from Redding to Eureka several times but always for work. I have been dying to hit that with my Sprint. The views up there are amazing. DeCosse: she loves the jacket but I can't get her to wear at least some mesh pants or draggin jeans. She won't wear it if it isn't umm.... fashionable. Hehe
