Pics of project "Naked Sprint"

Well I'm going thru with transforming my 01 Sprint to a naked street bike.
Here are a couple pics. I'm having it painted black and leaving the frame and wheels the stock silver. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the bellypan ,radiator filler neck and gauges.
Anyone know if the gauges are the same size as the Speed Triple?

Alot of bikes are written through minor drops, motor bike couriers use these sort of bikes, this where the street/fighter look came from.

Also stunt riders look for sport bikes, that have had minor damage to body work.

Looks good, call it the forgotten Speed Triple!!

Frame colour

That looks pretty cool, but I would think about painting the engine hangers the same black as the engine to blend them in and give the remaining silver frame a cleaner look without those 'horns' pointing down.

Now if they were pointing up........ there could be only one colour!

Get something like the LSL kit to fit a tubular handlebar. The clipons look all wrong.
Lose the grab rail and fit the seat cowl to tidy up the rear end.
I'd also ditch the bellypan, but y'know, personal taste and all that.
Oh, and junk the center stand. Never seen a fighter with a center stand!

Bonny fechter!

That looks better than I imagined. When you first proposed it, I was not convinced, but if you go with Rexxy and Kludge's suggestions, it will look superb. If I ever lose my bodywork, I'll follow your lead rather than ditch the bike or spend a fortune on plastic.

Got to agree that is a lot better than I would have expected.

looks like a brute!

Without the body work the "two-tone" front fender sticks out.

I think you should hide the radiator filler behind...a TURBO!

No idea about the gauges, sorry.

I am looking to purchase a rear seat cowl (from a board member here), paint the engine hangers (remove the fairing hangers). I just threw the bike together real quick to get a couple pics.
I'm glad you mentioned the LSL kit for the handlebars. I was hopeing there was another type of bars I could use. Any pics or site of the bars?
Thanks all,
Shawn
