Anyone have a naked Sprint?

Hello all,I'm new here.
I'm thinking of converting my 01 Sprint to a naked look. Has anyone here done this?

Weclome to the site, lots of interesting stuff and a wealth of experience within the group.

Never seen this done before but doubt that it will look good, afterall the Sprint was designed as a full fairing bike so they hang things off the frame and engine knowing that it is all going to be covered up. Guessing it will look a tad messey with no fairings

Yes, it looks lame. Frame and gas tank look goofy with no fairings.

Just take off all your plastics, take a step back and look at the mess you have created.

I am with Triumphite. I had been doing some work and was riding the
Sprint w/o fairings. GAWD that was ugly!

I came across this on another forum - not crazy about the red frame but otherwise think it actually generally looks really good! They could have done a better job with the lights though, with some units designed for naked (S3 even!) Mis-matched wheels aren't a huge asset either.
No turn signals, but that wouldn't be hard to find a mounting location
Appears to have 2003 GSXR 750 forks incidentally with the 4-pot Tokicos that come along with those

Anyway, gives a general idea of how a naked Sprint looks - I think it works.

This member left the nose of the fairing on his. This side looks okay but the other side is a bit a mess of pipes. You'd have to try and graft the Speed Triple radiator and cooling hoses on there to make it look tidy I think. With some fabrication skills you could graft the S3 headlights on there.

I agree with the comment on the bike referenced - that would only be an issue with an older gerneration. Honestly I'm not sure how you get around that, even with a Speed Triple Radiator - on the 97-01 S3's the filler neck/thermostat is up under the false front of the tank. On an 02+ with the later motor with thermostat in the engine, you wouldn't have that filler neck/thermostat assembly mess.
S3 headlights I believe could be integrated without too much trouble using the S3 bracket along with the light buckets. There are after-market twin lights that bolt to the forks that would also look better than the Sprint units.

That blue and orange one must have gone down hard. The frame looks pretty dented. Like DeCosse said matched wheels, better headlamps, and a bit more work to finish the whole thing off and I think it'd look ok. I'd personally probably go for more of the RS look, but that's just me.

The best part of the ST's look IS the fairing.

If you have a crashed bike that needs a new fairing; I would do everything I could to obtain a replacement.

If you are doing it for the "look"; I would say get a Speed Triple.
