In case you haven't noticed, Greece is ablaze with wildfires.

Nature and human negligence and interests conspired with an incompetent government and public sector resulting in something like 20% of Greece to be on fire.

Over half of southern Greece, Peloponese, is up in flames. At least 60 people are dead and counting, thousands are homeless and have lost their leaving means. A large part of Greece's wild forest is gone along with much of the farmland including much of the most important olive producing land.

This is probably the greatest disaster that struck Greece since WWII.

So please spare a pray to whatever God you believe for my small country.

Nikos-you have my prayers and sympathy. I hope that the fires will be controlled soon.

I heard on the news that it's believed that the fires were started by an arsonist(s). Is that true? If so may they get a taste of their medicine.

The severity of it is being reported in the news, here in the US, and the need for international assistance. You and your nation are in our prayers.

Yours may be a small country but not many have had as much impact on the free world.

What about yourself? Are you in a safe location?

I've been watching the tragedy on the TV news. It's good to hear that other EU countries are helping out. Hope they catch the b******s that started some of the fires
