Good dealers

Hi all,
on Friday I noticed that my scottoiler wasn't working. After bit of swearing and muttering I discovered that the vacum hose had come off. I rang my dealer in Hobart. I told me to bring it straight in, when I arrived the workshop was full. They started work on my bike straight away and within one hour the bike was fixed, and charged me nothing for the work. The point of all this is that there are some good dealers out there and I'm lucky enough to have one here. If by some chance some of the bigger motorcycle chain stores are reading this, guys this is called that old fashion word service and and maybe some of you can take a leaf out of Motorworks in Hobart's book. To any of my fellow Sprint riders who are visiting our little piece of motorcycle heaven and if you ever need any gear or parts call in and see Luke or Larry or for workshop advice see the very wise Nick or Milton. They may not be as flash as the big mainland stores but they still can give good service and value for money with a no ******** approach.

Nice one Tankman

Nice post tanky

It is great to have a good dealer and to generate a good working relationship with them.

I have also been lucky myself having similar experiences to you with my own dealer.

I called in once on a Saturday morning at about 10:00am, none of the service guys were actually working but one guy was there working on his own bike in his own time.

I had just put a 2" gash down to the case (I hit a tree branch after a storm at high speed) in a day old rear 190 Dunlop Qualifier and needed a second new tyre in as many days.

The mechanic knew me well and after asking very nicely he put a new tyre on for me and he wasn't even technically working.

This type of service requires us to help create that though and poiteness always helps.

Onya Tankman, a great story.
