Hyperpro fork springs

Is anybody running these in their 1050 ST? Impressions?

I'm looking to replace the springs and I'm leaning towards them.

Nikos,

I can't say anything about Hyperpro in the 1050's but I put it in my 955 and absolutely love the difference. Much less diving when braking for corners and surprisingly more comfortable over minor bumps in the straightaways.

NikosR,

Yes I have them on my 1050 ST.
I had the front and back springs replaced. It was probably not really necessary to change the back but since I was at it I had that done to.
There is not much to say about them, they do there work very good.
I find them a bit hard on a bumpy road, but on the other hand they are great in corners and on the highway.
I know it doesn't help you very much but I don't think about them when riding, I think that is a good sign.

They did wonders in my 02 Sprint. Put them in my FJR too and like a previous comment, much more noticeable with the forks than shock.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll probably go for the Hyperpro fork springs.

Now about the shock spring. I'm not a suspension expert and I'm not able to always judge if a particular suspension trait is due to the front or the rear suspension. I was thinking of changing the rear spring hoping that it will provide some better match with the upgraded front springs. On the other hand I might save some money and put that towards a future shock change (although that might not happen in the immediate future due to budget constraints). What do you think. Umberto?

If you are not planning on a complete shock replacement in the near future I would go for the spring replacement. The reason you give for replacing the rear spring is exactly why I did it.
I like to think it works but I never had the "stock shock spring" combined with the hyperpro fork springs, so I am not sure.

If you want total control over the rear, a complete shock replacement is the way to go, but it's going to cost you. I would only do that if I was going to race on a track on a regular basis.

I'm not sure about how good the stock shock is on the 1050's. On my 955 there definitely was a wallow in certain situations that went away with the HyperPro. Your shock is much more adjustable I believe. On my FJR the stock shock had a reputation for going bad in a hurry and I put the spring on to prolong its life (my theory, with no supporting evidence). "IF" you are "SURE" you need shock help, I would get a good, fully adjustable shock replacement. HyperPro makes excellent shocks too.
