LED Integrated tail light Q?

Anyone got any experience of this Fleaby item 330001697484
Looks cool but I'm just a bit concerned as to how bright the turn signals might be.
Thining of treating myself to this and the clear front indicators
Cheers

I try to avoid the bay so I have not looked at it.

There is more than one brand of integrated tail light available. I have used the Clearalternatives for almost a year now. The turn signal function is as bright, if not brighter, than the stock lights. The brake and tail light functions are also brighter than stock.

Part of the turn signal function failed on the first unit I installed. The customer service replacement was in my mail box in two days. That unit worked for a few months until the tail light function stopped working. I slapped it and it worked fine for about two months. I called and another one was sent quickly to me. This one has worked the longest.
Researching Clearalternatives on other forums indicated that there was a higher than normal rate of failures, but that seems to have been corrected. All of the posters agreed that their customer service was efficient and prompt.

If you go the LED route, you will need to either install resistors or a dedicated LED flasher relay.

Cheers - these apparently come with the load resistors built in to put the flash back to normal rate.

Brake and tail brighter than stock - they must be very bright, I have had comments from my mates as to how bright the std on is !

The ClearAlternative ones here
http://www.xdcycle.com/store/product...&cat=28&page=1
look exactly the same as the Fleabay ones - wonder if he is sourcing them from them (if you know what I mean). In fact it appears to be exactly the same picture.
Just a bit leary of ordering from the USA as returns/postage etc might be an issue - was not too worried about my $10 decals but this is a bit more risky

Another option...

You're probably going for a more integrated look, but I've installed an LED license plate frame. I didn't want to go totally aftermarket with my brake light set-up, mostly to avoid any potential failure, so my preference was to keep the OEM lights in. I wanted something to supplement the OEM lights though, so the LED frame has been perfect for me. It has a bar of 18 bright LED lights along the bottom of the frame, and is wired to operate as extra running lights and brake lights.

Just my 2 cents...

As far as I can see it's an option with this one to keep the original turn signals too and have them both working ... that might look good and give those dozy cage drivers enough to see where I am going

Link...

I got the frame from ridesafer.com. Here's the link to all their frames.

There are many options for frames, from a single row of LED's to all four sides, to integrated brake and turn lights. eBay has a few options as well, but not sure of the quality.

Thanks for the info Norcaltriumph - Had a look but I don't think we in the UK would get away with the USA number plate sizes - we could use ours for a shovel !
this will give you an idea of our regualtion size

The other option...

would then be to simply use the LED light bars. Same basic concept as the LED frames, but instead of the complete frame, it's simply the LED light bar portion that you attach to your existing plate/frame. I guess it would depend on what the regulations are in the UK, and whether or not it's legal at attach something like this to your license plate.

Check out hyperlites.com. I have the auxiliary combination LED running lights/brake lights (with the flashing option)/turn signals, on a bracket which positions them on either side of my licence plate, and they work great! I get tons of comments on how effective/bright/visible they are and people want to know where I got them. I'd highly recommend them!

You're right, you can keep the originals and have them both working. That way you don't need the resistor either. I have that setup on my RS and I like it. I think I'll probably go with some smaller aftermarket signals but still keep the LED's in the tail light. Here's a pic.
