first serious ride - WOW!

I had my Sprint ST for 3 months now and due to work and family conditions used it only for commuting - had no time to ride out of the city limits. I did rack up 3000 miles, but it was all highway miles - I had no chicken strips left on right side since off-ramps were my only twisties for all this time.

Anyway, today I took it to SW WI to play in some twisty roads and I can say only one thing: WOW!!!

I had track going rider on 2007 kawasaki ZX-6R following me and the guy had to work harder than he thought to keep up with me - oh boy! was he impressed, and was I!!!!

And the gods smiled upon SamaR and said, Let all be right in his world!

They are so sweet and versatile. I had a 30 mile run through some mountain roads that ended in a draw last week. A guy on a YaHonKa sport bike tried to blow me off the road. I normally just do my own thing, but it was a perfect day/road/etc. We boogied, he was very good and smooth and it was just a good time. We parted ways as I turned on another road. I looked at my tires and thought, did I do that(? lol), even DaveM would be proud of an old dog like me representing the Brand this way.

Enjoy her!

I was lucky enough to hit the Blue Ridge area about a month after getting my Sprint. What a difference to the ultra-heavy BMW K1200RS I owned for five years. This is a great handling bike.

Heading back to the mountains the first week of October. I'm counting the days.

Your mate with the Kwaka doesn't look real happy does he. It must be very disconcerting to struggle to keep up with something packing a pair of huge panniers when you are on what is supposed to be a rocket.
