1050 Oil Change

My 07 Sprint is due for a 5000Km oil and filter change but the owners manual doesn't say what the oil capacity is. I know what grade of oil to use but don't know how many litres to buy. I assume 4 litres will be more than enough but don't want to get caught short.

Should I also be replacing the sump plug washer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

4 litres is fine - but don't put it all in otherwise you will over fill it, which is not good. I think the capacity is something like 3.75 litres. And yes you should really replace the sump plug washer.

Red face aaah I was wrong...

I found the specifications:
3 litres when just changing the oil
3.25 litres when changing the oil and the filter (unless you use a longer filter than standard)

OK, so it looks like I need to find the OIL thread. I have wondered if oil, like tyres, generates a bit of healthy debate.

Do a search for 'synthetic oil'.

What I'd like to see is a combined tire, oil and chain lube thread. Should be fun....
