TOR Vs. IXIL Vs. Trident

Which exhaust would you say is best.
From what i have seen:

Trident will run about $800 USD
IXIL Will Run about $525 USD
TOR will Run about $500 USD

Which exhaust works best with the TOR tune or would it be better to just use a Tuneboy. I know someone that already has a Tuneboy so i would just need to buy a key for it. And are there US distributor's or do the Trident and IXIL have to be purchased from overseas.

Thanks

I think both the TOR and the Trident use the TOR tune just fine. I don't know what IXIL is, did I miss a post for a new exhaust for the 1050 sprints?
Also, with exchange rates and shipping, the Trident looks to be closer to $900 or so.. But the vids/sounds/pics look like it is worth it.. The Trident has to be purchased from Wolf racing in the UK, but several US board members here have bought one with no issues.
If you have access to a dyno and someone who knows tuning, a tuneboy would be the way to go to really get a custom map, but if not, the TOR map is a much better "plug and play" solution (as far as I've gathered from reading here).

Thank you for correcting me on the price for the TRIDENT. I was going based off of a google search which converted the £399 GBP into $800 USD. According to google the exchange rate at the time of this post was 1GBP=2.00057USD. Here is a link to the IXIL exhaust which you can buy from there website for £274 GBP. http://www.ixilsilencers.co.uk/Triumph%20ST%201050.htm

There are many examples of Trident installations on this site to review.
Is there anyone on this site that has bought and installed an ixil and, if there is, can you post some pictures?
The picture of the ixil Sprint installation on their site shows that the tail light bracket bolts are exposed. Either the rear plastic fairing is raised or the tail light bracket is mounted lower. In my opinion, it is not a clean looking installation. But, as you know, I am prejudiced.

As for tunes. Either of the pipes will run better with the TOR tune than with the street tune. All of them will run much better with a Tuneboy.

What would be even better is if someone had a video with decent sound of the IXIL. There are examples of the Trident which is just sweet as hell but quite dear in price. I'd love to hear the IXIL in comparison.

OnD is right though. It doesn't look quite as clean as the Trident.

Oh wow, thanks for the link - I haven't seen that one before. I agree with OnD and Denman, install doesn't look as clean as the trident. Also, what's the cost on it? Unless it's significantly cheaper, I'd say the Trident is the way to go - looks AND sounds great, and Peter from Wolf racing is a member here and is great with the support and questions - great reason for an endorsement right there.

So when exactly did Peter put you on his payroll?

I don't know about the customer service on the Trident... I asked several times about seeing a dyno slip before I laid down the dollars and, although I was told initially they would find a way to get me a copy, I never saw it. Eventually I was told they were really too busy building them to scan one in or snap a pic. Okay, whatever.

This is a video of the Ixil (same basic setup just modified for the 675), for what's worth:

The Ixil is approx $680 shipped to the States (at today's rate of exchange) from BR Special Tuning in the UK. Indysuperbikes is the North American distributor for Ixil. I am going to check with them and see what they'll charge for one. Indy used to be home for me so it would be a good excuse to go pay a visit. I'll let you know what I find out.

TripleTime- good info about the dyno graph, I didn't know about that. Mostly I'm referring to Peter's posts about install/fitment questions on here - taking time to answer questions and help with fitment issues.
As for a dyno graph - I'd be curious to see one, just to see what happens to the powerband and make sure it doesn't take *away* hp or any midrange power.

Let us know what you find on the Ixil, that price looks decent. my main concern would be build quality - no sense having a great bike with a shoddy exhaust that has fitment issues.
