Question Dipstick !!!

Am I being a dipstick ???? does anyone else find it difficult to see the oil level on the dipstick of the ST 1050. Is there a way of paintng the end white or something. dark oil on black is a bitch to check. Has anyone out there got the solution.

With the paper towel or rag you're already holding lay the dipstick on it and measure the wet spot against the dipstick.

Ever notice the holes on some car dip sticks?
If it is really a problem, you could drill a #40 hole at the full mark.

eye sight

I find on my '04 Sprint that it's easy if I have plenty of good light.

Otherwise my eyes have difficulty. Maybe this is your problem.........age!

LOL You guys are getting OLD!!! Take a flashlight or use the natural light as you hold the dipstick on an angle and you can see the fluid level when this is done. At least I can as I am still young enough

Isn't there an after market dipstick for the sprint st?

Tasty nuts has a oil filler cap but it doesn't include the actual measuring stick Booo.

Heres da link:

I don't have any problem reading the oil level on my 04 ST, remove the dipstick and wipe it dry with a clean !!! cloth then insert it to get the oil level. It is easy to see the difference between the wet and dry areas.
