Some time back, someone posted that they use Marvel Mystery Oil in their fuel.
Im going on a looooong-ride next week, and wanted to try that. Can someone tell me how much to add when I fill my tank on a '02-ST?? Thanx, J-
If you just gotta do it, why not follow the directions on the can?
BTW, for the right price I can sell you some magnets to put on your fuel line that will make more fuel than you can use.
I will include a free bottle of MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) with each purchase of Carter's Liver Pills and bottle of Snake Oil purchased before the Christmas rush (shipping and handling extra)!
DaveM, it is a very light oil, red in color, that was very popular (along with STP type products) not so many years ago. It did everything but roll back your odometer. A squirt in the spark plug holes prior to storing a vehicle, a little in the fuel to clean grunge from the carbs, etc. I use to put it in an inline resevoir for my air tools to keep them oiled and fight off the moisture that always seemed to be in the air lines in the shop. I don't think with recent motor, fuel injection designs and the fuel formulas that it has the same audience it once enjoyed. I don't believe that small amounts would hurt, but I don't know what it could help and may(?) be harmful to cats.
More knowledgeable folks will no doubt provide in depth analysis.

No fair! I offered my Fuel Generating Magnets first. Buy my magnets and I'll throw in some Mother Ruby's Esoteric Wheel Balance Sand.
On a serious note, we used to supercharge VW engines with Judson blowers that had spring loaded phenolic wipers. To keep them from wearing out, we fed Marvel Mystery Oil into the intake. We used the factory supplied dispenser kit, a Mason jar.
