Had my oil leak fixed @ CT dealership

Stopped by my local dealer yesterday (Branchville motors in ridgefield, ct)and had a valve cover gasket replaced that was seeping oil for a few months now...(bike reads 3300 miles). Anyway everything was taken care of and 3 hours later I was back on the road home...took rte 22 in ny back to ct...and was a very relaxing ride. I did note a black sprint st at the dealer that had the trident pipes on it..so im curious if that person is on this site. Also airrider if you read this post...I cranked down my front adjusters and your right!!! what a difference in the suspension...I have full confidence in her now. Thanks for the tip....oh and had those front brakes looked at and they actually have very little wear on them...we measured them vs a new pad.

Suspension...

Excellent! We Sprint pilots don't ride on the track everyday, but in the real world with bumps, potholes, garbage can lids and lumber strewn along our public roads. You paid for the suspension, so why not use all of it's available travel as opposed to just the bottom two inches. Besides, another streetwise benefit would be the increased ground clearance so you can lean into corners further instead of scraping the pegs too soon.

IMO other benefits:
a) Less dive
b) Steadier headlights at night (mine don't bounce, even in the brutal ripples.
c) Easier on the wrists and arms.
d) Easier on the entire bike assembly.
e) I find the bike very easy to handle aggressively
Now, let's work on reducing your chicken stripes
Myself, Ricster and friend last sunday.
