Hey all. New guy here. I have been following the board for sometime now and recently decided to register for my own username. I guess I might have posted in the wrong order but I will try to make amends. Not a Sprint owner yet but very interested. As a matter of fact I got a couple of potentials in the cooker right now. Just sold my first bike, an Suzuki SV1000s. Loved that bike but wanted something a little more pillion friendly so my wife could join me more often on rides. BUT I definately didn't want a couch on two wheels so enter the Triumph Sprint. Wish me luck and I look forward to interacting with all of you.

thanks

just got my 06 sprint and will need some advice and support, this sight appears to be friendly and honest, thank you and all who work on it.
I posted to the manual thread, not trying to get bootleg books, just some help with info I need. I have ordered a manual from the dealer, will take a week or more, and a trip to Seattle to get it. in the mean time, I would love to use my trip computor, I would like to change my brake fluid, order a rear tire and do what is needed to prepair for a long trip in the not so distant future. bike has 5100 miles, and I have no maint. records and no owners manual, rear tire is getting bad and brake fluid is dark. I dont mind supporting a dealer if there was one reasonably close. I may have to do some basics by myself. and would like to know how things work, ie suspension adjustments, chain tension guide, tire presures, fluid specs and trip computor.
If there is help on this sight please direct me

Hi, This is just a sticky for the new members to read and comment on. For your question post it down in the open forum as a new post. You will get better responses then here.
Also filling out your profile so we know what you have and your location would help.

For a real quick answer sounds like you are in the PNW? But where? If you are in Oregon AFAIC Cycle parts in Eugene is the only place to go.

Another new guy here!

Hello all,

I'm the proud owner of a blue '08 Sprint located in the PNW, USA. My wife has an '09 Street Triple. Looks like a well disciplined group here! We enjoy offroad riding along with group onroad rides headed up by our local Triumph dealer when weather allows. Am looking forward to soaking up more info on these steeds as time permits. :

new to forum - it's all good

thanks for posting guidelines clearly. glad to see a forum that's really about the bikes and the people and not all that other jazz. plenty of other places for that.

Funny -- I purchased a new '08 Sprint a couple of months ago and my wife just purchased an '09 Street Triple R -- gotta stop taking those demo rides. We also enjoy offroad riding -- have a couple of Beta trials bikes.

These are our first Triumphs and we are looking forward to riding the great roads here in western NC.

Thumbs up

For a new road rider about to take delivery of an 09 Sprint, this site has already been invaluable over the last week. Prior to actually joining, I've read much about mods and "lapping in" in your forums. I appreciate your "codes of practice" in regards to your postings as well as the great information your forum members post. Hope I can contribute.
