Well,
I have known iceman now for around two years and this weekend apart from moving house my wife and I got to meet Iceman and his better half and the little icicles (well they were quite tall actually).

I have met several of the nice folks from this website over a while now and I keep bumping into Miker, bear64, steventhechef and welshrob.

There are a lot more folks I have become "email friends" with as well so it is alwasy nice to meet the people in person.

Iceman is over here on holiday just now and we had planned a ride from about 6 months ago when he came to my area. I was able to show Grant some favourite local roads.

The pic above is of the two of us, Grant with a hired 2007 Tiger (siad he liked his Sprint better) and me of course with my very fast Caspian blue 2004 955i model.

We had an enjoyable breakfast then a good ride and later lunch with Grant and his family. It was a good day out and another enjoyable TRIUMPH experience.

Cool! Welcome to Oz Iceman, so it's you who brought the rain..... I thought it was me washing speedy on Sunday :-) Hope you had a good time with the family and on the outing. Nice pics, shame that Tiger makes your Sprint a little dated Dave kit:

Dave - we will catch up one day! I've met Rob, some of the Sydney (and central coast/newcastle) folk, and Gavin and Smeg so far.

I'll post about it shortly, but it's nearly time for our 6 monthly Triumph MidWeek Madness. Steve and I will be proposing a route soon. We're looking at late August as usual.

What the hell is the term for twice a year - biennial, biannual - don't say married cos' I'm talking about BIKE riding :-)

Stay tuned.

Nice shot there DaveM. I'll bet you showed him a great time on the local roads (hopefully without any any additional
contributions to the state treasury courtesy of the local LEO.) I've now met three fellow Sprint forum riders. (Well actually four; one
was a guy from a class I was taking and I didn't even know who he was until I saw him get on his bike on the last day of class. :-D )
Even managed to put one little ride together. I will be headed over to Oz someday and I'll definitely be looking some of you guys up.

Cheers,
dc

p.s. I hope the new site will allow us to size the photos we post to the pages cos some of them are so big you can't see the whole image at once.

Did you pass along to Iceman your uncanny ability to melt tyres off a bike?

Well done Dave.

It's nice to put a face to the username and emails after so long.

I hope he didn't sling off at you like he does on line !! :-D

Oh and last week I met MLC who rides a bonnie and is also a member of this site. He was at the dealer when I was picking my bike up after some repair work and a puncture fix.

Steven, Iceman was a perfect Kiwi gentleman.

We had lunch at a favourite haunt of mine in Montville where the owner rides a Gixxer thou and always we have a chat.

Sprint1050DA, no I didn't plan to either.

Grant was on roads and a new bike he was unfamiliar.

And the Tiger had been shod with new Pilot Roads.
So Iceman was suitably sensible as I knew he would be.

Look forward to meeting you too Russ

aww sh&t, you got up the Maleny ranges to Montville????? That's some of the best scenery and roads in Aus - outside of Sunday tourist season :-) .... I've done it a couple of times and gone up through Kenilworth when heading north, but trips there are few and far between.

You'll have to post some pics of the roads: Here's the area for those interested
Montville/Maleny

Well done Russ,
I do the Stanley river rd, Peachester range, Maleny to Montville frequently. Also MT Mee on the way up and back!

I and also Steventhechef also frequent Mt Glorious.

You are right Russ they are some of the best scenic and also best m'cycle roads around.

As I told Iceman "you will get a bit of everything on this road"

I believe Icey will have soemthing to say when he gets on line back at home very soon.
