Anyone know if the 07 rims are painted or powder coated as I would like to polish the rims myself - easy thing to do.

Just on this bike I have no idea what I am working with

Cheers

I believe they are powder coated. I had a few chips that I touched up but noticed the thickness of the paint and it doesn't chip like a sprayed on paint job.

They are powder coated, and not a great job either. You can remove it and polish them just fine.

Powdercoat, same as my '01, which I will be polishing after this riding season has ended. Careless tire changers have ripped **it out of the coating on my wheels.

They are two part epoxy primer and top coated, not powder coated.
