OK,
love the bike (07 - Red, the fast color) but it really needs to speak up sound wise.

Don't really care too much for extra Hp as the bike is enjoyable as it is and where I live (Victoria Australia) we have something like 400 speed camera's in action; the most of any state down-under.

I've emailed Wolf re his work but thought I should ask has anyway got the TOR system fitted?

Any sound bites that I can listen too etc?

Also, can you chrome the OEM tips like in the photos

Cheers
Poddy

You can chrome the tip if you wish. I am having mine bright ceramic coated now. I do not have a sound clip right now sorry.

Jim,

Will you post a photo when you get it back and on the bike? I'd love to see how it looks: I've been wanting to do SOMETHING to improve it over that cheesy silver paint job that's now turning brown from the exhaust!

Poddy,

The TOR sounds great! I wish I had a clip you, but I've never bothered making one. I've seen clips of the Trident system though, and from what I can tell, they sound very much alike: a nice raspy growl that is absolutely beautiful and unique, nothing else (besides another uncorked Triumph triple of course!) sounds like it. It's definitely louder than stock, but as long as you go easy on the gas, it's not at all objectionable and it won't attract the wrong kind of attention (LEOs). WOT is a different story: it unleashes the hounds, but sounds fantastic! There's also the fact that the TOR looks exactly like the stock can, so if you want to maintain a low profile appearance, it's your best choice, (and for the ultimate Q-ship experience, leave the panniers on). Cosmetically, I think the Trident system beats the TOR severely, but if sound is your main criteria, I think it's a wash, and if price is a factor, the TOR wins. Personally, had it been available when I bought my Sprint, I would have opted for the Trident over the TOR, but that's because I'm love with their looks. That said, I'm still a happy camper and have no regrets.

Cheers! :chug:

I have to disagree with H20 rat. I heard the TOR at a dealership and it did not sound much louder than the stock pipe. The guy even sped off on the TOR and I did not think it sounded that great. The Trident sure sounds much louder based on clips that have been posted by ricster.

My mate GavB has the TOR fitted to his 2005 Sprint, it sounds good, deep and throaty.

I have a Two Brothers Racing exhaust on my 2004 Sprint, and our mate FilthyPhil has a Staintune on his 2000 Sprint.

All have different notes but all sound great.

G'Day Poddy.

I have just fitted The trident system after much debating with my two selves over price versus product.I have no regrets the sound is sensational and looks great. The extra money ws well worth it for something that looks completely different than the standard system which the TOR system does.

Bear in mind for those who don't want LOUD that there is an optional baffle kit with the Trident pipes which makes it more respectable....
