Hello! Trying to discover how exactly to mount a Givi top box to my Sprint '01 ST. The Givi site seems to indicate that with their mounting bracket, you can't use the stock side hard cases (which I have and want to continue to use). One of the people selling an E460 Givi on e-bay said that you can just take the mounting bracket and attache it to the stock luggage rack (hand rail). All the pictures I have seen show a much more substantial mounting bracket or what appears to be the triumph luggage rack. I have to admit, I can't see how a top box would stay stable on the stock passenger hand grip. I would prefer to keep the side cases if/when I go to a Givi.

Any suggestions... pics?

Loving the sprint BTW. First bike ever! Awesome even in Canada cold

So far I have added a Vista Cruise, tank bag, and touring screen.

JB.

You need the original luggage-rack from triumph on which you can fit the universal top-case-plate from givi. I've done so, you can see it here: www.biker-schorsch.de.tt, then the site "bike" !

The hand rail and luggage rack are 2 diffrent things. You replace the hand rail with the luggage rack.

Thanks, Bikergeorge and zore both!

Figured that was the way to go. Will have to order the luggage rack and hope that the seller of any Givi that I eventually buy will supply the M35 bracket or I guess I am off to buy that as well.

Bikergeorge... saw the pics. Very nice bike.

Would either of you know whether getting the triumph luggage rack would/does interfere with continuing use of stock side cases?

I presume not.

Getting ready to ride home in the fall colours - great time for sprinting.

Thanks again guys for your quick responses.

JB.
