thanks for the help. I got the heated hand grip kit from aerostitch and it is designed very poorly. I couldnt figure out the which wire to connect it to so i just went to the fuse box as a temporary solution. When i turned the heat on the resistor used for the low setting got so hot it started melting stuff. Does anyone know of a different kit that is designed better. thanks for all your help.

Try the Dual Stars. Very affordable, easy to install (someone here posted great instructions), and they work great.

Dual Star works well. I would buy a relay and connect it to the factory connectors.

The factor kit is about $220, right? You can buy just the grips for about $75 then get relays and swithes for just a few bucks.
