Having problems with the headlight assembly (cover) on my 2006 Sprint. Not long after purchase, noticed a spotty "film" of some sort that wouldn't wash off. When I first took it in for replacement last year, the dealer said the one Triumph sent them was worse then the one on the bike. 2nd one was ordered and put on. Then that one started with the same film and I noticed it has dust and shavings trapped inside. Brought it back for another replacement, and the 3rd one Triumph sent the dealer is even worse- little dust particles and shavings trapped inside the cover. Triumph doesn't seem to think it's a problem and the dealer isn't much help (go figure).

Anyone else have this issue? It's only cosmetic but it looks like hell.

My headlight cover seems to be fine but I do have a large, greasy thumb print on all three of my headlamp lenses.

Just an update on this utterly stupid problem. A 4th headlight assembly was installed without much improvement. There is still dust and paint particles trapped inside, this time with fingerprints and even a few potential scratches on the inside. Apparently getting a clear headlight is too much to ask when you pay $10K.

Anyway, has anyone attempted to get at the headlight and dismantle it? I may try to see if I can clean that junk out of there since the dealer can't/won't.

I have seen these defects in several Sprints. Some are more noticeable than others, depending on the ambient light.
Triumph made a poor decision when they selected the supplier for the headlight assembly.
