The power outlet on the left side at back of the fairing, is it a standard jack? What's the output and is it permanently live or ignition switched?

It's not a regular cigarette lighter plug. It's a BMW style plug. It's 12V and on all the time..

or go to your local caravan/motorhome shop or dealer.

Most use powerlet plugs and have adapters that fit a standard 12v socket into them.

Your dealer (or any BMW dealer) probably has plugs, too. Aerostich carries them for $7 or so, if they ship across the pond.
