Bought this baby to complement my Bonneville. Probably over-paid at $5,200 but it only has 12K miles and is absolutely immaculate, has great add ons like frame sliders, ventura rack system, heated grips, risers and other useful stuff. I like the dealership here in Reno and have wanted to do something with them for awhile.

Thanks man! I am looking forward to some trips on this beast. It was owned by the Triumph Reno sales managers wife. It is pretty much immaculate and a gorgeous yellow.
Now for some black leathers. Maybe after another 20 Lbs! :-D

Mine's the same color and has the ventura rack on it.
It's a nice bike to spend the day on. You'll love the EFI up and down all those mountains. It runs, starts, and idles perfectly everywhere.

Well done Chuck. They are a great bike, you'll love the powerband and loads of smiles that all RS owners have on their faces.
You picked the fastest colour BTW,,

Nice RS and good photography. The one I bought pretty much is in as nice a condition as your '03. I pick her up tomorrow and am planning to do a 500 mile trip to the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend.
I'm psyched.

Thanks Chuck. I must admit that I have scratched the RS on the fairing since that photo was taken!!
You'll like the long distances on the RS.
I have to remind myself to support my trunk (body) with my stomach and back muscles and not my wrists at times.
The fairing is a bit smaller than that of the ST - which I like 'cause you can lane split easier - and I tend to find that I go a little "bobble head" after an hour or so.
I just stop for 5 minutes for a stretch and to remember how much fun the last hour had been.
Chuck, what type of exhaust and tyres do you have on it?

Stopping every hour or half tank of gas or so is good advice in many ways.
I don't know on the tires and exhaust. The tires are not brand new but when I commented to the sales manager who's wife owned the bike that I might want new rubber, his observation was that that would be waste and that these had at least another 2-3K miles in them. I think the exhaust is stock. Its chrome I think.
I hope they can have it ready by noon today so that I can pick it up at lunch hour. Its a cool bike. I love the retro super bike look.
I will get more pics ASAP and document my trip to northern California on her as well.

Chuck, if the tyres are the original BT 020 you might want to look at an upgrade at some time
The 020's do not do the RS any justice. They tend to chatter into fast corners and IMO never feel planted at speed.
I have a carbon can on mine that really gives the triple a beautiful howl. Some have found them to leak a little. The aftermarket pipes give the 955 a few extra ponies
:-D

Congrats Chuck. You'll enjoy it. I picked up my own 2000 RS six weeks ago and I absolutely love it.
Here's a pic of mine
