Yep I might not be as young as Outlawd but I'm not old (a fart maybe but old no...) - I haven't made it to 40 yet!
I only spend time posting on the forum when I can't be out on my bike - on that basis the speed triple must break down a lot more than the sprint forcing the riders to spend more time on the forum...

mate it isn't about age it is about spirit, you should ride whatever you like. K8 I'm happy to be an old fart, I have had a lot of happy years on bikes and I've met some really fantastic people through motorcycles. Welshrob you are a hooligan and mainlander as well and good luck to you. I too would love a speed triple but the minister for war and finance (MWF) said three bikes are enough and I'm too old to go throwing my leg over one of those younger naked thingy's.

Ohh dear! It`s only a bit of friendly banter, don`t take it too seriously!
No disrespect to them, I love sprints, I`ve had two 955 sprints an 01 and an 04. Excellent bikes. The reason I changed was my wife learned to ride and I no longer needed a full dress tourer to cart her and her luggage around and wanted something a little more versatile and fun, so I opted for the speed triple.

I`ve done 14,000 km`s in 6 months on it, including a 5 day tour of NSW and I don`t use the bike to commute, plus I own a Daytona 675 which I`ve put about 6000km`s on during the same period. Should dispel the myth about us hooligans not doing the miles! The speed triple is a great all-rounder, touring (see pic) scratching on the twisties, track days, wheelying, commuting etc. it`ll do it all. Obviously, not quite as good for pillion work though.

I'm not serious, I'm bloody jealous you mainland hooligan.

Safe riding and hopefully you may come and visit us little islanders one day.

Wots this Rob.

I've been in the sandpit for a week and you've turned the world upside down again! :-D

Hooligan S# rider shame on you

I think jokes aside it is true we all here love the triple engine wether it is in street fighter or sports tourer guise.

How a bike is ridden is totally up to the rider.

I have ridden with Rob and he's no numpty, but then neither am I

Onya Tankman and Donski +1

Robbo I am very jealous of your Daytona 675!

I almost bought a trip over my sprint. My other half thought it was too bug-eyed. I was that close........
