I wanted a Blue one, and South Suburban in Illinois just sold one. Now they tell me that Triumph has pulled back on the red and blue ones until more of the 06's have cleared out of dealerships, so my only choice in reasonable time is black. Has anyone else heard this? BTW, I think the way Honda did their CBR1100XX Blackbird, at least in the pictures I've seen, has to be one of the best looking Black sport-touring bikes I've ever seen. (My opinion)

Maybe if I'm stuck with black, I'll try to imitate it.

I'm sure they are just telling your that so they can sell you a black one which they have . . . I'd call around.

Yeah, that doesn't sound quite right. But the black is pretty sweet though. Once you go black you never go back! :-D

Rumor has it the black with be replaced with graphic grey for 2008....I would say Black is a keeper. :razz:

Sounds like my dealer when I bought my RS, but at least he was up front about it.

And I quote " You can have your choice of colors. They come in Black or Yellow..........and I'm all out of Black!" :???:

Yep it sounds like you need to do a bit of shopping around...

Unless they've decided to copy Henry Ford when he said about the Model T :
-- that you can have it in any colour as long as it's black -- :razz:

Personally I think it looks better in Black (I don't really like where the black of the windshield meets the front fairing on the other colours...) and as hot_asphalt has pointed out I reckon it's a keeper! :-D

Here guys, see Jason's new 07 Sprint in blue. So there must be some dealers willing to sell other than black.

If Triumph is really going to discontinue black after only one year (why?) perhaps some dealers just want to move as many black ones as they can before the Graphite shows up and everybody wants that color. I don't know what the % of production was for the black STs but I remember that the grey on the Daytona 675 was only 5% of production. And as we all know "rare" anything in bike terms simply translates to "hard to find replacements." :-D

Yes, I kind of feel it isn't right, too. I know there are other color 07's on the road. MMC only had a 07 in Black, and South Suburban gave me discount off MSRP, something that no one else offered. So I guess I'll take the Black. I just wish it wasn't all Black, like having a silver colored frame and wheels to offset it.

Hopefully, once I get mine I am going to get a set of blanks ( http://www.sharkskinz.com/ ) and will end up doing a custom paint job anyway....

I didn't know Sharkskinz did a set for the Sprint. I've been nosing around on the site as I just bought some for another bike, but saw nada for the new model Sprints. Did I miss 'em?
