Helmet Lock / Helmet Guardian

Hey Cats,
I'm looking for a way to lock my helmet to my 2003 Sprint ST. I haven't found a helmet lock on it yet. That being said it's my spare bike, I live full time in Toronto and the bike is in Milwaukee where my wife is working on a contract for a year, I've only seen / riden it twice. Am I completely overlooking the helmet lock on it or do I need to try something like Helmet Guardian (behind the plate mount) and if so do hemets fit with the hard bags on?

Thanks for the info. I've riden the baby only twice (once 2-up so I had to behave) but man is it fun.

dave, look at the thread "Helmet Lock" Posted: 2007-05-21 18:11 on the same issue. There were some suggested types to check out. I too was a bit shocked to find a touring bike w/ no hat rack. Oh well, ****e happens.

Hey DaveySew, have a look at my albums (link below).

I moved the seat lock to the back mudguard as per Triumphnet...

Then I made myself a pair of hooks from Duralumin that attach to the bike where the two big allen bolts hold the bodywork to the subframe near the battery.

The hooks take the d-ring and then the seat locks down. They are tight enough that you can't really get to the strap to cut it, and the hook cant be bent as it is against the underside of the plastic tray of the seat.

Hope this gives you a cheaper option. Catch me after 14 June, and I could even make you a pair!

The only down side is that they work with the D-ring type. I don't have the other sort to play with
