Is $9,999 a good price for a leftover (new/untitled) '06 ST with hard bags, but no ABS? My dealer offered me that price for the ST and a trade-in value of $6,000 for my '05 S3 1050.

Should I pull the trigger or not?

Is that before tax, licensing and dealer setup fees?

If so then it's *not* a good price. Admittedly I got a very good deal but I paid about $500 more than that for an '07 ABS (before tax etc...). At very least you should be paying about $500 less than that for a non ABS bike and that'd not including that it's last years model... :hammer:

But if that's the Out The Door price then it is a good deal...

Who is your dealer?

Duckie,
The $9,999 price is with hard bags installed, but before TTL. Still a bad price?

RoadBuilder my dealer is Moto Meccanica in Santa Rosa CA
The base price should be with the bags installed regardless as they are standard now, so that should be part of the setup fee. In actual fact the list price of the '07's is a couple of hundred less than the '06's so yes that is a Bad price - as Yimm said - keep shopping! :hammer:

I know how frustrating it is to have to wait but it will be worth the wait - I was ready to buy in early December '06 but due to lack of stock for ABS sprints in the colour I wanted and various other reasons I ended up having to wait until March '07 - glad I did, got the bike I wanted in the colour I wanted at the price I wanted...

I just got mine three weeks ago. Silver '06 out of the crate without ABS. It was about 10,200 Out the door with the bags installed.

I told the dealership GM about the info gleaned from this site and he said he'd get me down to the "low 9s and waive the $400 freight fee" because I'm a loyal customer (they sell Polaris ATVs also and I bought one from him last fall; I also convinced my brother in law to buy two ATVs from this dealer a couple months ago even though it's 150 miles from his house and there are closer Polaris dealerships to him). The General Manager doesn't know it, but I'm going to buy two more ATVs from him at the same time as my bike purchase. Should I ask for more of a discount on the Sprint now?

Certainly! Talk directly to the Sales Manager and tell him if he will sell you the sprint for $9,500 Out The Door (i.e all fees & taxes) you'll buy 2 more ATV's... worth a try!
