Ladies and gents,
I just discovered Sports Performance Motorcycles at Taren Point (Sydney) have just received their first batch of these tyres and as an opening special they're letting them go for $450 a pair, fitted and balanced.

The email states
"Some good news for you Steve - we have just received our tyre order, and there's road 2's in there. Only 3 x 180 rear received though so if you want
us to put one aside for now we'll need a credit card deposit. They reckon
a couple of weeks till we can get the next lot, so we will hopefully be
re-stocked by the time you need them.
We also have specials on Power 2CT's - $520 fitted, and Pilot Powers -
$450 fitted at the moment., Feel free to pass that around to your rider
buddies
Retail for the Road 2's is $292 for the rear, $212 for the front. We try
to plug Michelins most of the time, so fitting on them is free. Other
tyres - $30 a wheel on the bike for fitting and balancing.

Give us a call on 02 9531 6580 any time you like. We can generally fit tyres
on the spot. Our address is 4 Toorak Road Taren Point

Regards,
Smurf (Mark)"

Hope this is of use to some of you!

Hi Andrew,
yeah some of us have to work for a living :-) Actually haven't been on a ride for a while due to work and stuff... bummer.

Yes it's getting cold in the mornings - 5deg C today going to work. I don't miss the fairing but do miss the heated grips :-D I notice the wind on the hands the most. With the jacket if

Re: the tyres, I'm on my 3rd rear tyre now. I still have the Power at home with 4200km on it and about 2000 left. But I wore out the first conti road at about the same time as the power front, so I put a set of contis on. Now I have only about 2-3K on them so may use up the other pilot power rear when the conti rear has gone.. phew complicated.

How was the ride?
