Got a few friends staying over for a weekend or two this summer and unable to rent a Harley so we can ride together (does anyone rent Triumphs?).

eBay solved the problem last night. Just bought a 2001 Sprint RS. I still think I'll prefer the classic but once in a while a blasy in the Sprint might be fun too. Anyone on the list have this combo? How do these two compare? Is the Sprint a big step fropm a LEgend (Speed, agressive position, etc).

Sadly I bought the thing unseen, unriden and have never tried a Sprint.

I have a 98 Trophy 1200 and a 99 Thunderbird. Very different machines. I put double risers on the Trophy to help the sitting position be more upright. Each bike has advantages. The Trophy is way faster and more aggressive, it will outperform the Thunderbird every way. I have three huge hard bags on the Trophy. I can go grocery shopping with it if I want. Still, I prefer the "coolness" of the Thunderbird. The Trophy is for sale if you need another one. It is more upright than the Sprint. Not sure if it is as fast as a Sprint or not. I know the Trophy scares me and the Thunderbird does not. Good Luck.

The Trophy looks like it would be better on a longer trip than the Tbird (or the Sprint for that matter).

no plans to sell the Legend. It's perfect for those country rides on day's like today.

Exactly how I feel about mine. Also a good commuter 'cause I can put bags on it (unlike the S3) as well as for taking on a passenger.
