I just bid on a 2001 Sprint RS with 8k miles and surpisingly I won. Been shopping around for a Sprint for a while as an upgrade from my Legend so all is good with the world.

eBay listing

This thing has no lower bodywork. How much will that cost to replace?

Doesnt $2950 sound too cheap for a Sprint with only 8k miles?

Yikes! What might I be getting myself into here?

That bike looks good without the fairings. At least you have a belly pan on it!

Congrats.

Nice looking bike - Sounds like you got a good deal there.
Welcome - you will find the '01 engine very nicely done indeed - suits my riding needs very well

Lowers will cost you $300-400 new, but be patiant and watch ebay and craigslist and they will come up.

Make sure the service is up to date and you will be good until 12k

Congrats

Personally, i think the bike looks better without those side pieces.

The thing i'd be looking for is another exhaust. I had one of those 2Bros and it was too loud for me. You may like it, though.

The left bar weight is missing too. Probably damaged in a low/no-speed tip over as the brake and shift levers appear to be O.K. I think you got a decent deal provided there's nothing else that needs fixing. Always thought the RS looked best in black.
