Did I make a mistake not going with the trident? Major reason for me was heat....i hear it reduces heat....what do you all think...dump the tor order and order the trident or be the cheap a$$ and go with tor?

Depends on what you want it for. Seems that the TOR works for what you wanted i.e to get rid of the heat issue. Plus you retain the 'factory' look of the bike and save yourself a load of $$$'s as the Trident is almost twice as much due to the horrible exchange rates we have at the moment.

*But* the Trident does look nice and you get the added horses (although I'd imagine you'll be hard pushed to notice the few extra horses the Trident has over the TOR...)

As the man says it really depends what you want - the Trident pipe is lighter and more power and a lot cooler under the seat than stock or TOR and looks incredible - but it costs more and if all you wanted was a little less heat then why worry.

Did you run a dyno test on the same bike at the same dyno on the same day with Triumph stock, TORS, and your muffler to make this conclusion? I would like to see these results if so.

Spot on wills, even morning and afternoon runs can vary chart readouts, air temperature, barometric pressure etc. I've seen it many times.

Wills - yes - they were done on the same bike and on the same dyno about an hour apart - TOR was already on the bike and the owner swapped it for our cans...

As you say it is very easy to get misleading results on the dyno in 101 different ways.
