Just picked up beautiful 01 RS . I don't have any books or manuals yet . The clear breather tube that looks like a crankcase vent. Should this tube be plugged or not. I noticed this tube has a plug in it and I'm wondering if this something the dealer did to prevent drips on his floor or is this normal.

Welcome to the forum 01RS

Mine is an 03.

FWIW It has 2 breather pipes and neither of them are blocked.

Good luck with your bike, they are a fantastic machine..

:-D

OK , I've got three breather tubes Two black and one clear ,the clear one is the one that has the plug.So just to confirm ,none of ya'll have a plug in the clear line. Other than to stop an oil drip on the floor I couldn't imagine why it was there.
