I've got a 2002 Sprint RS and would like a taller screen. Does anyone have experience with the Laminar Lip or Givi? Is there anything else out there?

Recommendations and warnings are welcomed!

Triumph makes an Aero/Double Bubble screen that's a good 4" taller than the stocker. I've got one for sale if you're interested.

Thanks,

- John

There are only a few companies that make anything to fit the RS. Shipping could be a deal breaker as well.

MRA
Top quality stuff-shipping pricey. Twisted Throttle is their US distributor but has dropped the RS stuff??

Zero Gravity
A bit on the thin side, have heard of some cracking and only make Stock replacement and Touring models.

GIVI
Look nice, but have read no input on them.

PowerBronze
They have an excellent selection and have heard the quality is also top notch. Their site is tough to work through, prices are high when converted to USD and their shipping prices are a joke to the US as I remember.

CeeBaileys
Top quality stuff, Thicker acrylic that most use. Made to order so it's tough to know which one to get since they don't show the different sizes side to side. Stock shape just made taller/wider to order.

Actually this is probably the most choice in parts for an RS you will find! Usually it is not covered very well in the after market.

I've got the lip on my ST and I love it. without the lip I was getting some buffeting but with it, it's smooth air :-D

Thanks for the replies...

STlaKid: Thanks for the detailed response. I agree, there's not enough aftermarket stuff for our RS's... Boo. I wasn't familiar with some of the names you provided, so I've got a little more research to do.

Anyone else use these windscreens? Reviews appreciated.

Suncoast: How high does your lip raise the airstream? I heard 6 - 8".... Also, do you use the standard lip or the taller touring lip?

I put a Zero G on mine 00 RS and love it. It pushes the wind up to the top 1/3 of my helmet and makes riding much easier. I don't like the lip look and found a Zero G on ebay for cheap :-D I guess it's all up to you on what you like.

I agree with Suncoast, smooth air! Before the lip, following trucks on the RS would cause my head to be buffeted from side to side. Now with the Laminar Lip, it's a cool breeze.
