I don't have a pic, but I know from experience you can easily change the hight position of the beam without taking off the fairings using a stubby philips screwdriver.
You can use a shorty screwdriver as Cuyose mentioned or try a socket on an allen wrench. Neither is particularly easy in the small space but it's doable. And you definitely do not need to take the fairing off.
Each bulb has two screws. The one on the outside of bulb and high is the horizontal adjustment. The one on the inside of the bulb and low is for vertical.
