Finally, got off my butt and decided to throw the risers on. I had done a little searching on here and it looks like some had clutch cable problems and some didn't. So I went with the clutch side first.

No way it's going to happen. I moved the cable around to the other side of the yoke and it still binds. I can't see any other way of running this thing to make it work. I also had some problems getting the spacer to fit into the stock bar. I finally just gave up.

So some install help would be greatly appreciated. Pictures would be even better. I'm guessing I got the right risers. I believe the part number was T118. Thanks for whatever help you guys can give.

Crashdb,
I found that when I installed my Genmars although the clutch cable fitted, it was still tight. I took it to Cable Guy here in Hobart and had it lengthened by 32mm which worked a treat.

Good luck The Tankman

Thanks. You don't happen to remember which part number you received do you?

Sorry no mate, I bought my risers off DaveM second hand. They were for a 04 Sprint but fitted my 05 ok.

T118 is right.

I have the same ones, and was lucky enough to get them installed without a problem or need for longer cables. I didn't even re-route them.

Did you have to move the cables out of the guides or holders or anything? I emailed Gen-Mar and they're telling me that the clutch cable needs to be removed from the guide. I'm sort of flying blind. The bike is at a storage unit and I haven't had a chance to stop by and look at these things again.

Got them to work. And this is what I did:

I moved the clutch perch inward on the bar. That helped give some room. I also rotated the perch a little. Then on the throttle side I had to rotate the brake line off the master cylinder down a little and then did the same with the perch. It's still a little tight, but I guess it'll work.

I don't have any riding impressions. I did this on the way home from work this morning. I did ride it around the storage facility a little. Seemed to be a big difference.
