:hammer: Ok now, I will clear most of this up for most people. Yesterday (5/2/07) I finally brought my bike to the dealer for the re-call, (which mine was perfectly fine) and had some time to burn while I waited for my bike so I started talking to the salesman about my bike. Nothing really negative but I felt that maybe I bought the wrong bike. So we started talking about maybe trading mine in. After all, I only had the bike for about a year now, (with 4400 on the clock). Anyway, I jumped on a new 675 and the salesman rode on a new speed triple. We blasted away from the dealership and he took me on a nice course that included a lot of bends and turns. Halfway through the run I pulled over and shook my head no, "dont like it, lets switch". Well, this feels a little more familliar. Like the power and the high bars, even did a wheelie. However, dispite the small windscreen of the sprint the triple gives no wind protection. The salesman laughed at me and said "I new it". Bottom line the Sprint is a very capable motorcycle. Very neutral on all levels of performance. Its a big bike, its a true "road" bike. Been up to 152 (per the bike) and leaned her way over really testing tire grip at 100 plus. So aside from its little quirks, most of which are minor ones, I am fully convinced that I made the right choice with purchasing my sprint. It really is the ultimate motorcycle.

Have ridden both the 675 and the S3 and both are awesome bikes in their own respects, but wouldn't trade my Sprinty for either - I agree with you - Temptation builds Character :-D

Hi RIDEBYOU and welcome to the asylum,

You're quite right the Sprint ST is a great all-rounder,haven't ridden a 675, have ridden an S3 1050 and loved it,fun, fun, fun.I don't mind a bit of wind/buffeting that's real world motorcycling to me and up to 150kph or so it's all okay but on the streets or in tight twisties is where it calls home, swapping from a faired bike to a naked feels a bit weird at first you feel like somethings missing and you're unprotected, you soon adapt though.

The ST is, as intended,a great bike for all occasions esp.those unavoidable long boring freeway jaunts, the very reason I bought one.

Regards Lambo

I can't believe you didn't like the 675 on a test ride. That thing is the bomb.

Hey gazza, Im not saying that I did not like the 675. Just not crazy about it and just not for me. The steering has a really radical geomitry. Weird when you steer at slow speed. Also somingthing to consider is that the bike was not broken in yet. Still very tight. Seating position, SUCKED!!! LOOK, I have years of riding experience and have not listed all of my previously owned bikes. But the 675 just felt too commited as a track bike. Did not inspire confidence and intended for the track. Everything I hear about the sprint about the poor suspension brakes ect. Cmon people, I think that the bike is excellent. I every so often ride with other guys with cbr600s and the like. Well I have to tell you that the sprint is faster on the streets than most sport bikes. Yes I said it MOST sport bikes. I will tell you why. Because this motorcycle is set up for the street. Its big, solid and has so much torque that you dont have to beat up the bike to get power from it. All the while beating yourself up. I can pretty much ride all day/afternoon and not be tired at the end of the day.

I agree with you too. I just loved the 675, but I don't think I will ever sell my RS. I just wish the RS had better forks!

I see a 675 in my future for those fun days at the track or on the back roads.

Take care,
G

I'd definitely have a 675 as a second bike if I could afford one.

But you guys are so right and I have said it a million times.

The Sprint ST is an absolutely BRILLIANT all rounder.
