Greetings all.

I had noticed that I was getting some rather severe buffeting around the bonce on the '07 Sprint...especially when riding into the wind, and more especially  when the speeds were....aaahhh...inadvertentantly in excess of the national speed limit.

I looked around, and ended buying an Eagle Screens Extended Touring screen. I received it this week, and had it fitted by Charlie at Turn One.

OK - quality seems to be very good - nicely smoothed edges, uniform dark tinting, and it came with six fasteners and grommets, so it is held securely.

So, off to the ride...I have just ridden it home, about 25 km on a freeway. Absolutely NO buffetting at all :-D ! Wind noise has been appreicably reduced as well.

So far, it looks likea very good buy.

I shall go on a longer ride tomorrow morning - to further test the screen and scrub in the new Continental Road Attack tyres!

And here are a couple of photos.

Cheers

Man that is one big screen, sure I have seen something similair on a boeing 747 :-D

Seriously though I have an 06 with a taller screen and it makes a heck of a difference.

LOL :-D

That is quite correct - it sort of resembles a 747!

Tried it out today, in that funny form of weather - which has not been seen much over the last couple of years here - RAIN.

In short..it kept the rain off most effectively, made the ride a fair bit quieter, and most importantly - NO BUFFETING!

I am in the process of getting my standard Triumph screen replaced under warranty - due to the black banding starting to peel off - and I will keep it to use during the summer months, I guess.

Cheers

That is a monster screen! I did a long ride yesterday and sure could have used it. As easy as the screens are to change, having more than one type is probably the way to go, as you suggest. I'm beginning to think that expecting all things from one configuration is probably unreasonable. Thanks for the pics. The mfg web site pictures can be misleading.
Hijack Warning! Those tires look like Contis. How do you like them?

What screen do you use?
Where did you buy it?
Thanks.

Hijack warning? LOL
.
Well spotted - they are Conti Road Attacks.

This is the first time that I have used them - having used a combination of Pilot Roads and Avon Azaro's, I thought that I try them.

I have only done 300 or so km on them, mainly on wet roads - so here are a couple of first impressions.

- Wet weather grip is very good - certainly on a par with the abovementioned tyres, and perhaps a little bit better.

- Initial turn in is not a quick as the Avons, but definitely quicker than the Michelins.

- Like the Avons, they are a "smooth" riding tyre.

In summary, so far, very good. It will be interesting to see how long they last!

Cheers

I have a set on my '95. They have 10K miles on them so far, and look good for a couple thousand more. That's mostly commuting, with one long trip (2300 miles) thrown in.

Niltime, I just got the exact same screen for my 05. Received it early last week and finally got out today for my first ride with it. The looks of it take a little getting used to but I sure like the results. As you said, no buffeting and at higher speeds (90-100 mph) you can duck down just slightly and be completely out of the wind blast.

Tubby 8853,

I bought a skidmarx screen off the worldwide web, it is fairly tall but not as tall as the one Niltime fitted
