I'm not sure if I was expecting a miracle but it does not meet my expectations.

installed it last night. I wasnt even in heavy rain.
I merely ran across a few wet roads. a couple hours later I stop for lunch and get off my bike to admire it again. and holy Sh*t what a mess!
the entire top of the hugger is filthy and so is the fender area.
what is this thing designed to do? keep rocks down?

any feedback is welcome.

I installed mine as well and found it doesn't do nearly the job I had hoped as well. Its weird that so much ***** still gets back around the shock area. Im thinking though...imagine if it wasn't on there...how much more ***** would be there...so any protection I will take. :hammer:

My sprint too gets remarkably dirty from a short ride on damp roads despite its Skidmarx hugger. In fact it's by far the dirtiest bike I've owned when ridden in the wet. Even the backs of my boots get covered in ***** which I've not experienced before.

Presumably it is something to do with the aerodynamics? :???:

yeah my thought is that that hugger is strictly for decoration purposes.
a.k.a bike bling.

would I buy it again? a flat out no. it cost me $360 canadian by the time it got up here.

I am curious to what results the guys are getting with the other brands of huggers...???

speak up fellas! is this something that happens with them all?
seems there's 3 of us feeling the same way.

are you happy with your skidmarx hugger?

Skidmarx are ***** mate. My son bought one for his YZF750R and the holes were miles out and had to be elongated to get the bolts into the swinging arm. It also gapped slightly at the front.

Now my Triumph hugger was expensive but bloody brilliant. The rear wheel has to be removed to fit but it slots forward onto the swinging arm, and the best bit is it even extends below the swinging arm. 10 out of 10.

My Skidmarxx fit great. I even removed the shock cover since it seems to do such a good job at keeping that area clean.

I see the same issue with my Triumph Hugger. First time out in the rain my hugger is filthy along with my monoshock.

Initially I liked my skidmarx hugger, but it still leaves the shock filthy when it is wet out.

I think it has stopped rocks and other c**p being thrown up - at least that's what I hope seeing that the rear edge has taken a beating from something in couple of places and splintered

The Triumph shroud for the monoshock that they fit on the ABS models is a fraction of the price & I have heard it is a much better option to protect the shock.

the fit is good. its the amount of light rain and dirt that I would expect it would help keep clean.

have you ridin' it in the rain?
seeing how you're in florida. LOL
