Hi all
I own an 05 sprint st which I am currently having some gear changing issues with. I seem to be getting locked up in 2nd, 3rd and its a real effort to find neutral. I have noticed it seems to happen when the engine is warmish to hot. I dont particularly cane this bike, just ride it normally but its starting to do my ****in nut . can anybody help
Cheers JOnny

... I had an issue a few months ago where it was difficult to select neutral when coming to a stop ie it would hop from 1st to 2nd then back to 1st etc.It needed surgical precision to hit the spot.

The problem was the clutch needed adjusting.Over time the cable stretches a bit and you end up with too much freeplay at the lever and the clutch doesnt disengage properly.

I adjusted it up and all was sweet again.Worth a try.

Is chain tension right? Did you do an oil change recently? How does the clutch feel?

I am having the same problems after changing to Shell SX4 15-50w.I will change it after 3000km and hopefuly it will be back to its slick old self.

I was just going to say something similar to amanger, the oil you use can make a huge difference to how a motorcycle gearbox feels, some are just better than others in this regard.

Also Sprint gearboxes are generally known to get better with a few kms on them than when newish.
