OK, I've got a couple of thousand kms on them now including light rain, heavy rain, dry & hot, dry & cold, tar, dirt, paddock, commuting, sporting and two-up. I like 'em. They are more confidence inspiring when leaned over and otherwise very similar to the Azaro STs.

As with the Azaro's, they came from the bike shop at the tyre pressures that they think I should be running (well under recommended max load) and just like the Azaro's, I did not like it. The rear in particular squirmed around in a most not nice manner. Upped the pressures to the rec max load and they feel fine.

I too put the Storm ST's on and now have about 1500 miles on them. GREAT TIRES. Much better than the 020NN Bridgestone's that came on the bike. Much better turn in, less warmup time, better wet grip, hell just a better tire all around. I only hope they wear as well. My cheap ass got 8300 miles out of the Bridgestone's before they were done.

I just put a set of these on my daytona last Friday. I too am hoping they last as long as the old model tire. I used to get 12-13K out of the AV45/46's. Don't know how happy I am at this point because I had bridgestone type 4 BT002R's on it temporarily and man are those fun. The miles will tell though.

Rod,
glad you are enjoying your Storms so much, I thought they would be good, I have used about 6 sets of Azaros, a couple on my GSX R600 and the rest on my Sprint.

I disagree with the "squirmy" comment though, I always ran mine at about 34psi front and 37 psi rear and they never were "squirmy" on either bike.

I wore all sets edge to edge rear and almost to the edge on the front, plenty of piccies of 'em in my album. I think the Azaro pics are on the second page.

That as my experience with the Azaro's anyway.......... I guess they could be different now on the Storms, but I doubt it.

With the pressures set from the dealership my Storms seem to have some "squirm" at the back as well. To be honest I never checked to see where they set it at but when I get it back I am going to check them. I thought it was just a characteristic of the tire. Maybe not!

After having the Azaro's which are really good tires the avon Storm's are Fantastic . Granted I 've only them for a couple hundred miles but the grip in wet & dry is confident inspiring . Stay tuned for a long term report . :-)
