I have a '01 Sprint RS, and I'm looking for a good set of soft bags to go with. I know Triumph makes a set, but I seem to be leaning towards the Tourmasters and I was wondering if anyone here has any experiences w/ them? Thanks.

i have a set of tour master cortech sport saddlebags and am fairly satisfied with them.

gonna add the matching sport tailbag to supplement a little. they're a good size for a day ride or for commuting but for a dedicated "road trip" bag...i'm looking for something significantly larger.

i had hoped to "mount" these UNDER the seat for some added security but that drops the bags just enough to become an issue with the pipe. even with the heat-resistant material...there was some considerable "softening" of the material after a relatively short ride. mounted ON SEAT, there are no such issues.

i certainly like the look of the bags...they follow the contour of the pipe well...hence the "sport bag" moniker, i suppose.

they're attached quite simply via 4 straps with quick release clasps...2 on the pillion footrest brackets and two on the rear signals.

also...good reflective qualities...

overall...day trips/commuting **** of *****
touring ** of *****

Ive got a set and rate them.Only two things 1. It would be good if the raincovers were attached somehow rather than just sitting inside the bags.2 Im always a bit paranoid about them rubbing on the ducktail. Not a problem yet but keep waiting for the day....Ive bought a kit from Tankslappers to hopefully solve this but havent actually put it on yet.

If you do get them go through New England Motorcycles(link on this site) they actually sell them cheaper than direct from Tourmaster.Plus always been happy with their service.
