Shop Manual/Owner's Manual discrepancy

Pouring through my new Triumph Factory shop manual, I noticed that the chart it uses indicates valve adjust every 18,000mi (or 30,000km)and oil every 10,000mi (or 15,000km). The owner's manual states 12,000mi for valves and 6,000mi for oil.

So which do I believe, the owner's manual or the shop manual?

I don't know, but I would NEVER go 10,000 miles between oil changes.

I'm with smartin108 on the oil change. No way I'm waiting 10,000 mi;es on anything I own to change the oil.

As far as the valves are concerned my service guy has already told me the valves will be checked for any necessary adjustment at the 12,000 mile checkup.
