The clock and tripmeter on my 2003 ST have ceased to work correctly.
The clock only works when I have a 1 amp trickle charger plugged in, and the tripmeter, while it works, will zero itself and switch back to the odometer whenever the bike is turned off.
I've installed a new battery, but the problem persists.
My dealer said that this might be caused by low battery voltage....has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you solve it.
Thanks for any help.

How about the rest of the bike?
Headlights, running lights, etc., high load items.
All I can think about is some hidden connection that's possibly dirty/corroded. Put a meter on the battery terminals and light the headlights...what happens to the reading????
The positive cable comes from the battery and bolts to something...look there if needed.
Good luck!

Does the bike fire-up normally?
Does the battery goes flat if you're not using the bike?
etc...

Check that the connections on the battery are tight.
Reseat the fuses, check for corrosion.
