hah! mine snapped a while ago. on the day i was goin to deliver the bike after taking a deposit.
been lookin for a replacement since then with no luck...they all seem to be the older version
oh well...

There have been a couple of crank ends go in the past.
Mainly on 02's and 03's
I think that it was
